Arboreal Salamander Peak out-1.jpg

Aneides lugubris (32)

After about 4 miles hiking through the Santa Cruz mountains, in search of a variety of early December amphibians, I noticed a tiny face looking out at me. This Arboreal Salamander is one of my favorite recent critter finds, and his positioning did him justice in this shot.
